Renoking’s Isabelle Home: Semi-Circular Design Quirky Retro HDB flat
Itβs been a pleasure to work on this project; this 37-year-old HDB unit is designed to own its very own tasteful Semi-Circular design throughout the house.
Decorating with a Pop of pastel accent and well-rounded interiors is stylish and chic. With dainty details and Instagram-worthy corners make homes a whole new level for both comfort and aesthetically impressive interior.
Whether youβre entertaining your friends or inviting extended family over to your home, a well-designed Dining area is always sure to impress.
In the Guest room, the subtle colour selection and the soft touch give a pinch of coziness and welcoming ambiance in this room. Through the little finishing touches of the wallpaper, it adds extra comfort not only for the visual but the overall feel of the room space.
Instead of opting for an entirely retro theme room that would fit Isabelle’s momβs sewing machine well. Weβve designed it to fit in like a statement piece in the room, whatβs old is now seems as new too. (As seen in Renoking’s Home Tour video). This statement piece shine and stand out like a spotlight in this room along with the eye-catching interior element which makes the roomβs ambiance feels extra comfortable and relaxing.

Many Singaporean adults still use their chou chou, some choose to keep it in the storeroom as they canβt bear to throw it. Our Creative Designer Shu Wen has suggested beautifying Isabelleβs Chou Chou by placing it in a showcasing beautiful and simple white frame. It is not overwhelming yet brings extra personality to her room.
Our Designer Shu Wen has also crafted an Arch opening shelf for Isabelle to place her Candle or phone beside her bed neatly. Itβs definitely worth to invest a bigger wardrobe. Weβve also re-layout the wall of Isabelleβs existing room and the storeroom to maximize the space and its convenience.
The vanity area is designed to be a collapsible hidden function in different ways, suitable for any small and compact room. In this small area, it does not feel too cramp yet amplifies the needed storage space. We absolutely love Isabelleβs room too. Even the Door Knob is cute.
Upon entering the Reed Glass Door with an Arch opening from the Living space. (Reed glass is great for spaces that need privacy yet need the lighting to go through). This Dark Retro-Industrial Kitchen space consists of many details and colours that are in monochrome and grey tones.
Other than the external cabinet aesthetic, the internal hinges and hardware are just as important. As you may hear about the benefits of using @excel_sg premium hardware, Isabelle’s home is using its brand throughout the house.
A convenient basin by the window of the open Service yard helps to save space in the compact toilet next to it. Hiding the Rubbish Chute under the sink makes the whole area looks clean-cut and neat.
Not forgetting about @vwalla.co which provides a range of fluted panel designs and colours that is able to transform any vertical or overhead space with a dash of grandeur and life for a timeless look. In addition, the beautiful Wireless Kinetic switch by @ganenasia, it’s especially good for your dream smart home along with the flexible @line8powertracks, which lets you reposition power sockets anywhere you want.
